Via Sancti Martini

Via Sancti Martini

Via Sancti Martini-PannonhalmaThere are numerous churches and villages in Europe that show deeper connection which they have with St. Martin. These communities, all the way from Szombathely to Tours, by crossing over borders, communicating and collaborating with each other, being faithful to the traditions and bringing to light the spiritual memories, show to the pilgrims and the whole world their great respect to St. Martin. This initiation was won the support of the Council of Europe. As a result, the St. Martin’s European Cultural Route was established in 2005. The distance of the pilgrimage comprises thousands of kilometres. The pilgrims could make their way either on foot, or by bicycle, or by car or by bus.
